A number of people asked for a floral image to work on, so the starting image was my close-up of a poppy head dropping its stamens

I thought it would be interesting to make this one a little different, and so the challenge this time was to create four different versions in the rough categories you see below.

1st piece:  using only native Photoshop filters

2nd piece:  using whatever additional filters or programs you wish

3rd piece:  making additions using own photos or drawings

4th piece:  transforming into something new

Ten artists took part in this, our ninth Photoshopetc Ping-pong Challenge, each contributing four images, so this slideshow is a bit of a marathon!
